Have you ever wanted to design, build, test and race your own high-performance model race car? STEM Racing gives students the opportunity to work as part of a professional engineering team, developing the skills used by real engineers, designers and manufacturers.

As a member of the team, you will take on a variety of roles including CAD design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, branding and marketing. Working together, you will design and produce a miniature race car, using advanced technologies such as 3D printing, before competing against other schools. Along the way, you will develop valuable skills in teamwork, problem solving, project management and communication.

We are delighted to announce that the launch of STEM Racing at our school has been made possible through the support of Surface Scan, who have generously agreed to sponsor the project by providing the 3D printing filament required to manufacture components and support the team's development. More information about Surface Scans 3D printing services can be found by clicking the following link: 3D Printing Service UK | Next-Day Prints

Whether you are interested in engineering, design, motorsport, manufacturing, marketing or simply enjoy solving problems, STEM Racing offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting and rewarding team.

Interested students should come along to DT1 after school on Wednesdays starting from the 11th November. We look forward to seeing you there!
