Introduction

The House system is integral to the ethos of the school. When a student joins the school, they are assigned to a House and will remain part of that House for the duration of their time with us. The students form a strong allegiance to their House and we encourage a positive contribution fostered through healthy competition.

We are very proud of the way the students participate in all House activities throughout the year which include competitions such as, Drama, Art, Music, Spelling, Sport, Debating and of course the Effort and Work Cup. Each House raises money for their individual charity through cake sales, talent contests, sponsored events and many other activities.

The Houses have been a long standing tradition at both Chatham and Clarendon House. The choice of the House names was made by the students themselves who voted to join the existing House names from both schools:

Knight-Heath
Mann-Somerville
Rothschild-Pearce
Thomas-Sharman
