The Lowtones - Barbershop Ensemble

The Lowtones are a male vocal group who were formed this academic year at the Chatham and Clarendon School in Ramsgate, Kent.

The group comprises boys from Year 10 to Year 13; there are 13 members in total.

They like to sing the traditional Barbershop repertoire but also more contemporary songs, often with a twist. They are predominantly a cappella but accompany some of the songs themselves.

Whilst most of their songs were arranged by the musical director several of the group have arranged songs. In March 2011 they performed at the regional finals of the National Festival and have since performed at the finals in Birmingham in July!

They are rather new to performing, having only performed three times in public so far!
