The post is for 37 hours per week, term time only.

Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Designer/Engineer/technician to operate and maintain a CAD/CAM HUB, and support design technology teaching at our upper school Design Department.
The enthusiastic and ideal candidate:
will have a background in a Design or Engineering subject with an interest in 3D printing or be looking to explore a career in teaching Design Technology.
will be required to run a CAD/CAM HUB at the upper school Design Department.
will be responsible for the running the Design Technology department’s 3D HUB and the running of 13 Ultimaker 3D printers CAM machines including laser cutters, and multi axis CNC routers.
will be responsible for all the CAM facilities’ regular maintenance and servicing whilst also fulfilling other technician and teaching assistant responsibilities, such as providing and preparing materials and apparatus, as required by the teacher, to support the teaching of the subject at KS4 and KS5.
There will be a reasonable level of CAD work using Solidworks, Autodesk and the Adobe Creative Suite.
will possess excellent communication and organisational skills as there will be regular contact with students, staff, and outside agencies.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational Assistant Headteacher who will have joint accountability with the Deputy Headteacher for Teaching and Learning and whole school responsibility for CPD, including mentoring ECT’s and PGCE students. This will include the strategic monitoring and evaluation of Teaching and Learning and analysis and resourcing of the training needs of staff within the school as a whole and also for individuals.
