Welcome

The tourism industry is worth over £100 billion to the UK economy, it supports 3.8 million jobs, and it is expected that the tourism industry will soon account for 10% of the UKs GDP.

Travel and Tourism is a BTEC that is offered to our sixth form students. It is a combination of written examinations and coursework. It is designed to offer students the opportunity to appreciate the contribution of the tourism industry to the UK economy, how tourism businesses operate both domestically and internationally and an appreciation of global tourist destinations.

Over the course of the two years students will go on a fieldtrip to a UK based Theme Park and will also have a day trip to London to experience visitor attractions such as the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and a river boat cruise.
