Outstanding Success in the 2026 Junior UKMT Maths Challenge
Congratulations to our talented Year 7 and Year 8 mathematicians, who achieved exceptional results in this year's Junior UKMT Maths Challenge.
The Junior UKMT Maths Challenge is a prestigious national competition that encourages students to develop their mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and logical thinking skills. It is designed to stretch and inspire some of the country's most able young mathematicians through a series of challenging and thought-provoking questions.
Our students performed brilliantly, earning an impressive total of 68 certificates:
11 Gold
22 Silver
35 Bronze
These outstanding results are a testament to the hard work, determination and mathematical ability of everyone who took part.
Congratulations goes to Ben A, James M, Hudson R, Caspar S, Jesse W and Oliver N, who all qualified for the Junior Kangaroo follow-on round—an excellent achievement that places them amongst the highest-performing students nationally. We are especially proud of Caspar S, who went on to achieve a Silver Certificate in the Junior Kangaroo, demonstrating exceptional mathematical talent.
Special congratulations also to Antoni A, who was awarded the Best in Year certificate for achieving the highest score in his year group. Antoni's outstanding performance also secured him a place in the prestigious Junior Mathematical Olympiad, where he tackled a demanding two-hour paper consisting of six challenging mathematical problems.
We are very proud of all of our students who represented the school so well. Their enthusiasm, resilience and love of mathematics have led to a fantastic set of results. Well done to everyone involved!
