HOUSELIGHTS are pleased to announce the details of their latest production ‘JAB’.

Max is an aspiring boxer on her way to join Team GB, but when the unexpected happens in a qualifying match her entire world turns upside down.

This original performance has been devised by the HOUSELIGHTS team and created in the style of Frantic Assembly. It is our most personal and honest performance to date and looks at the frustration of uncertainty. We like to think of it as a play that floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.

HOUSELIGHTS were established in 2020 as an elite drama group at Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School. Their productions break the mould of the traditional school production and take place in our intimate studio theatre on Cavendish Street, Ramsgate. Because the group is predominantly formed of sixth form students our plays tend to explore more serious themes than the average school show. Previous productions have included 'The Good Person of Szechwan' by Bertolt Brecht, 'Woyzeck' but Georg Büchner and our first devised performance last year ‘Foremothers'.

‘JAB’ continues in this tradition and will be running from 5-8 March 2024. There are only a limited number of tickets available for this run so please book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available by clicking the button below or by visiting https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/houselights and are priced accordingly:

Tuesday 5 March - £4.50

Wednesday 6 March - £5

Thursday 7 March - £5

Friday 8 March - £6

Please note that this performance contains some themes and language which may not be suitable for younger audience members. We would recommend this play for audience members aged 15 or above.
