Senior Schools Challenge 2023

On Tuesday 5th December, our 2 Senior quiz Teams played their long awaited first round match of the Senior Schools Challenge 2023.
 
Team1, made up of Sam, Alfie, Tom and Christian, were playing Rippon Grammar School. With Christian's extremely fast buzzing skills to help, the team was able to accumulate an impressive number of points, including 3 bonuses for answering all follow up questions correctly. I am really pleased to say that they won their match and will now move on to the next round. We will soon find out who we are facing in the new year.
 
Team 2 unfortunately was one player down, but Joseph, Stanley and Ryan bravely took on the team from the Haberdashers' Boys' School. They managed to steal points a few times by answering questions that the opposition got wrong but sadly did not get enough opportunities to be first on the buzzer and in the end the gap between the teams was too big. 
 
Once more, I would like to thank both teams for turning up and defending the school colours. They should be proud of their performance. We look forward to taking part in the next round in January.
