British Biology Olympiad 2024

The Biology department are pleased to announce the excellent results from this year’s British Biology Olympiad.

Over 15,000 students from over 900 schools worldwide took part this year in the advanced problem-solving competition for A level students. The competition challenges and stimulates those with an interest in biology to expand and extend their talents. It enables students to demonstrate their talent and to be suitably rewarded with publicly recognised certificates.

Four students from year 12 and two students from year 13 took part in the competition, which consisted of two 45-minute multiple choice papers. The students were presented with topics and ideas which they were not familiar with, competing with their problem-solving skills and understanding of core principles.
