Christmas Jumper Day

11th November 2020

On Friday 11th December 2020, we’re inviting all students to take part in our own version of Christmas Jumper Day.

We appreciate that this has been a difficult and anxious year for all of us and Christmas is going to be very different for many families.

Therefore, we have decided this year, instead of monetary donations for wearing a Christmas Jumper, we are asking staff and students to bring in a food item on that day to be donated to the local food bank, items such as:

Tinned Meat (Curry, Chilli, Meat Balls, etc.) Tinned Potatoes Long Life Milk Cereal Rice/Pasta Tea/Coffee Tinned Veg Tinned Fish Biscuits Hygiene & Baby Products

If your child doesn’t have a festive jumper already, they can decorate a plain jumper with tinsel, baubles or homemade snowflakes to create their own unique jumper. Students have amazed us with their colourful creations in the past.

Students will need to wear the rest of their school uniform as usual including school shoes on the day but can wear their Christmas jumper instead of their school jumper and/or blazer.

Wearing a Christmas jumper is absolutely optional and only if they have one. We do not expect jumpers to be purchased especially for this event. If a student would like to make food a donation and not wear a Christmas jumper, that is absolutely fine.

We’d really appreciate your help to make Christmas Jumper Day a huge success once again this year.
