Maths Competition News

31st January 2019

This week saw the start of two competitions run by the University of Manchester. For years 7-11 the first clue was released in the Alan Turing Cryptography competition. Monday at 4pm the first clue was released and The Game were the first team from CCGS to submit a correct answer. They currently lie in 23rd position nationwide and are closely followed by YooFoo in 24th position. The other teams took a little longer to submit their answers but have still completed part 1.

Thursday was the start of Maths Bombe, a competition aimed at sixth form students. Two maths problems were released and our teams correctly answered both questions, they currently lie 57th and 93rd nationwide. Good luck to both BigCCGS and to CCGSLand.
