Act of Remembrance in the Sixth Form Common Room

13th November 2018

On Friday 9th November we held an Act of Remembrance in the Common Room to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Many students packed in to show their respect at this time. We heard about the men and boys from our school who served their country and spent time thinking about the lives of women at this time. At the end of a minutes silence Luke Cornwall played the Last Post and head student, Charlie Graham, read from the famous Fallen Poem by Laurence Binyon.

Throughout the day places in the Common Room were reserved for the memories of teachers and students who died during the war.
