UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge

26th March 2014

Year 10 and 11 mathematicians achieved 4 Gold, 19 silver and 24 Bronze certificates in this year's UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge. Over 200 000 pupils from across the UK sat the Intermediate Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze. Chris Norwood was the best in year 10 and Raymond Greensmith in year 11. They have been invited to sit a follow-on Olympiad and a Europe-wide Kangaroo round respectively. The Intermediate Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and is aimed at those in years 9 to 11. Well done to all those taking part and especially to Chris Norwood who obtained the best school result overall!
