How to do brilliantly in a language.
When speaking and writing, it’s import to give your opinion and then justify it.
Be sophisticated. Use lots of connectives.
Don’t let the examiner ask all the questions. Learn how to ask questions.
Don’t be afraid to ask for a question to be repeated
Win time by using those short phrases that mean nothing!!
Use a variety of structures and tenses
Use complex sentences
Often listening and reading texts will contain distractors – extra bits of info. that may make you jump to the wrong conclusion.
Don’t ignore the basics. Do you know your numbers?
Be expressive. Use exclamations!
Make sure you read the questions in the listening and reading papers in the gaps between items
Go over vocabulary regularly
Talk to yourself in French or Spanish – when you’re by yourself!
Go over verbs regularly so you know the main verbs well
Guess words when you don’t know what they mean
Identify gender endings

Watch out for false friends
