Summer 2010 GCSE Exam Results: An Overview

2010 has proved to be another good year for Key Stage 4 students at the Federation schools who achieved an impressive collection of GCSE exam results this summer: well done & congratulations to every student on their individual achievements. This is also very pleasing for the Federation schools – my thanks and praise to the talented & committed team of staff at both Federation schools for their significant part in this success. The aggregate overall pass rate for the Federation, % of students gaining 5+ subjects at grades A*-C, was 98.5% (Chatham House: 97%, Clarendon House: 100%). The % of students with 5+ at A*-C including Maths and English was 96% (Chatham House: 92.4%, Clarendon House: 99%). The percentage of students gaining A*-A grades was 39% (Chatham House: 41%, Clarendon House: 37%).

Over 250 Federation students sat their GCSEs this summer and there were many personal success stories – however I want to take this opportunity to highlight some quite exceptional individuals’ sets of results in both Federation partner schools

Summer 2010 A-Level Results: An Overview

Congratulations to all the Sixth Form students from the Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School Federation who received their A Level results this August. The aggregate overall A-Level (A2) pass rate for the Federation Sixth Form was 98% (97.65%), and the percentage of higher grades (A*, A & B) was 43%; the average points score was – per pupil = 300 (299.5), and per entry = 84.4. A total of 35 new A* grades were awarded.

With over 250 candidates there were many individual success stories as students opened their results envelopes.
